Closures
Ah… Don’t you just love closures?
The Solar car finally left for Chicago around 2:30PM today. They were suppose to leave at 9AM but true to Midnight Sun tradition, it got delayed for about 6 hours. Last night, I somehow ended up with 2 working LCD modules so that made my day. 
The car itself isn’t quite finished with few rough patches but since the car will be hundreds of miles away from me, it’s no longer my responsibility. Heh.
Hopefully it’ll do well. The wind tunnel test results were very good and I think we put together pretty solid car, but it would be wonderful to actually win one of these things.
I coded a simple WWW to Email gateway so that Solar Car team members can use their Blackberry pagers to surf (sort of) and get weather information. Give it a try by sending an email to gateway @ main domain address (dhead.com) either with subject of url (fully qualified - http://journal.dhead.com) or with word ‘weather’ followed by zip code or city name in USA.
Oh yeah, and another bit of closure. I got my workterm report back! I was little bit worried but I did pretty well.
