Weirdest Exam Experience

Today, I had what’s gotta be my weirdest exam experience. I was writing the final exam for ECE438, Digital Integrated Circuits. It took me about an hour and 45 minutes to get through the exam, so I was sitting there checking my answers at around 8:45PM.

So, to check one of the earlier questions, I had to figure out how a MOSFET works from basics again… when a sudden thought struck me - I *NEVER* have to do any of this stuff again… EVER! No need to know how CMOS works, or how to lay it out, or whether it’s Vgs or Vds or Vm+ or Vm- or Vdd or Vss or Vdsatn or Vdsatp or Vtp or Vtn or Vto or Vd or Vs or Vg or Vmin (Wow, that’s a lot of different voltages…) or anything else related to circuits and transistors for that matter… then my brain promptly shut down. I could feel my brain busily erasing everything and things slowly shutting down… one by one… then I zoned out for about 45 minutes.

Then I realized that I made a mistake in one of the questions and was suddenly startled out of my reverie… but yeah, things are coming to an end… it’s kinda scary.
