Looking at things like The Greatest Saturn Portrait… Yet makes me awed by the awesome beauty and splendour of the world around us. Don’t you ever look around and look at the wonders that surrounds you and question whether random selection could’ve brough together something so amazing and wonderful? 
Bobby has an interesting point on the whole Missile Shield issue. After reading through the news articles that are out there… I guess I’m in complete agreement with Bobby here. One of the things that really confuse me is people’s hatred of USA - you have to stand ground where you must, but you also need to take advantage of them and work with them when that’s to your advantage. This rabid hatred of everything American is counter-productive, counter-intuitive, and just plain silly.
But politicians must do what politicians must do, I suppose. That’s the one thing I miss about Jean Chretien - for all his faults, he was a leader, willing to press on with his ideas and beliefs. Paul Martin, on the other hand (and even taking into account the fact that he’s leading a minority government), seems like just another politician, ruled by the opinion polls and the latest hack that’s getting attention by the mass media…
