All Things Yummy

I bought my plane ticket for Greg and Silvia’s wedding - I’ll be flying into Toronto on July 1st at 6:13AM, and flying out on July 4th at 4:30PM. So for those of you who might be in town around that time, I might contact you soon for places to crash. If things don’t work out, though, I always have the Midsun office since I still have my key. I mean, it’s got a shower and everything, and when the car gets taken our for the Canada Day celebrations, I can go have free burgers and sleep under the car! In any case, it’ll be fun - I’ll get to stomp around my old stomping grounds, meet some friends, tie up some loose business back in ‘loo, and otherwise have fun…

Anyway, I’ve been thinking about joining a dragonboat team. I went to their kickoff event held in San Francisco and had a lot of fun running all around the city. Ironically enough, I’ve been to the city three times and pretty much all three times, I’ve been doing stupid things where I cover a lot of ground and get to run all over the city, but not actually “see” the city… One of these days, I’ll just go do some tourist stuff there instead…

For the dragonboat team, the first practice that I’ll be attending will be this Saturday (preceded by boat cleaning, which I’ve been told I don’t have to attend… but I’ll probably go anyway) so I’ll make my final decision after the first practice.

Hmm… What else is happening. Canucks are barely keeping their playoff chance alive. If they can win both their Wednesday and Thursday games against San Jose, they’ll probably make it in. Well, Bobby’s going to the Wednesday game, and I’m going to the Thursday game, so we’ll see if we can influence their playing by our presence. :)  At least they got Ed Jovanovski back.
